Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Kind Act, kindness chains, and rewards.

Kind Act is a mobile app platform focused on promoting kind acts. We have Kindness Chain bracelets that track acts of kindness as they travel from person to person. We have Kindness Challenges for users to do for fun and to earn local and online rewards. We have a daily gratitude journal and a social media feed for positive, uplifting things to be shared. We are THE kindness platform.

Someone registers a bracelet in the app and does a kind act for another person. They hand the recipient the bracelet and tell them to tap it to the top of their phone. The recipient shares what was done for them, does a kind act for someone else, and passes the bracelet on. This continues from person to person, creating a chain of kindness that can be tracked on a map.

Hold the bracelet logo against the top of your phone (near the camera area). Your phone will detect the NFC chip and automatically open the Kind Act experience in your browser. Make sure NFC is enabled in your phone settings. Most modern smartphones (iPhone 7+ and most Android phones) support NFC.

No problem! When you tap the bracelet, it opens a web page where you can share your experience without downloading the app. After sharing, you'll have the option to download the app to follow the chain's journey and participate in more features.

Yes! In the app, there's an option to share your experience anonymously. Your post will still appear on the kindness chain, but your username won't be shown publicly. The experience will still appear in your private "My Passed Chains" section.

Kindness challenges are created by users and local business partners. They're fun challenges that encourage you to do specific kind acts. When you complete a rewarded challenge, you can earn rewards like gift cards, discounts, or special offers from the business that created it.

When you complete a kindness challenge, you earn a reward from the business that created it. Rewards can include discounts, gift cards, free items, or special offers. You can redeem rewards through the app at the business's online website or at the provided local location.

No. We only request and use your location when you share a kindness chain experience and when searching for nearby challenges — only if you allow it. Your location is used to place a general pin on the kindness chain's journey map and does not show your exact address. If you decline location permission, your experience is still shared without a map pin, and some features may not work properly.

You can delete your account from the app by going to Menu > Settings > Delete Account. Your personal information will be removed within 30 days. If you need assistance, contact us at support@kindact.app.

Yes! The Kind Act app is completely free to download and use. You can participate in kindness chains, complete challenges, and use all app features at no cost. NFC bracelets are available for purchase through the in-app shop if you want to start your own chain.

NFC kindness chain bracelets are available in the Kind Act Shop within the app. You can also visit kindact.app for more information about purchasing bracelets.
